In the previous year, Godrej introduced “Project Rainbow,” a dedicated hiring platform designed to attract and recruit candidates from the LGBT+ community for both internships and full-time employment opportunities within the company. In a notable move, Godrej actively participated in two job fairs, the first of their kind in India, exclusively catering to the LGBTQ+ community.
At Godrej, the senior leadership, under the guidance of Nisaba Godrej, the Managing Director of Consumer Products, consistently engages in discussions about LGBTQ+ inclusion. These conversations take place during town hall meetings, through internal communications, and on various other platforms. Experts emphasize the significance of endorsement and support from senior leadership, recognizing it as a crucial factor contributing to the success of any inclusion program within a company.
The Mahindra Group, another prominent conglomerate, has established a range of diversity objectives, which played a pivotal role in the development of their new policy specifically addressing LGBTQ+ inclusion.
