On 12 June 2023, Salesforce unveiled an extensive expansion of its artificial intelligence (AI) products, now grouped together under the name AI Cloud. These products have been specifically developed to provide AI tools to CRM teams using Salesforce’s various offerings such as Slack, Einstein, Data Cloud, Tableau, Flow, and MuleSoft.

Salesforce has introduced an array of GPT-powered natural language tools as part of its AI Cloud suite, set to be rolled out gradually throughout the remainder of 2023. These tools offer diverse capabilities to enhance customer relationship management (CRM) workflows. Here’s an overview of the tools:

  1. Service GPT: This tool allows customers to leverage generative AI in automating the creation of service briefings, case summaries, work orders, and other related tasks, streamlining service operations.
  2. Sales GPT: Users can now automate the crafting of personalized emails that cater to individual customer needs. The personalization process is informed by CRM data, ensuring tailored communication.
  3. Marketing GPT: With this tool, marketers can generate audience segments using natural language prompts and AI-driven recommendations, enabling more precise targeting strategies.
  4. Commerce GPT: Brands can utilize automation to customize product descriptions for each buyer based on their specific customer data. This empowers businesses to align their commerce objectives and make GPT-guided recommendations.
  5. Flow GPT: Customers can create workflows using natural language prompts, which help notify sales representatives when a lead is successfully converted into an opportunity, streamlining the sales process.
  6. Slack GPT: This tool facilitates the creation of no-code workflows within the Slack platform, incorporating AI actions through simple prompts at each step, making workflows more efficient.
  7. Tableau GPT: By generating visualizations based on natural language prompts, Tableau GPT provides real-time progress updates against sales quotas, along with recommendations to improve performance.

Furthermore, Salesforce has announced a partnership with OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT. This partnership involves utilizing OpenAI’s Enterprise API in combination with Salesforce’s Einstein Trust Layer to ensure that data remains securely stored within Salesforce repositories. This collaboration aims to maintain data privacy and security while leveraging the capabilities of OpenAI’s advanced natural language processing models through Salesforce’s AI infrastructure.
