According to Rajesh Menon, Director General of SIAM, “May 2023 saw the greatest sales of passenger vehicles ever in May, with a gain of 13.5% over May 2022. Two-Wheelers also had increase in May 2023 of 17.4% over the previous year, but they are still below 2016–17 levels. Although on a small foundation, domestic sales of three-wheelers increased by 70.4% in May 2023 compared to May 2022, which is still below the levels in 2018–19.
